--- Comment #2 from Jasem Mutlaq <[email protected]> --- Git commit df986958f9fe6f744533facb776782fd94aeef4e by Jasem Mutlaq. Committed on 06/11/2026 at 06:53. Pushed by mutlaqja into branch 'master'. Send INDI text values as UTF-8 The upload directory and prefix, and text typed in the INDI control panel or set over D-Bus, EkosLive or a sequence file, were sent to drivers as Latin-1, while KStars reads every INDI text value back as UTF-8. Drivers use the bytes as they are, so with a target such as "Vénus" in remote upload mode the camera host saved the frames under Latin-1 names, and KStars could not match the file path the driver reported. Characters outside Latin-1 were sent as '?'.
