It used to be that if I reported a bug I could expect to be asked some questions and probably to post the output of certain commands. This rarely happens now. Of course it may be that now I know more about what is needed, but I don't think that's anything like all of the story. I have said before that automatic bug reporting is a mixed blessing - it probably does get the important information across, but having hundreds arriving each day must make it almost impossible to triage. I suspect that many developers are simply overwhelmed by the quantity of reports they are expected to process.
