Hi All,
I have dowloaded the IPS packages for OSOL 2008.11 following exactly the
procedure given, but after entering login credential the very beginning KDE
start up sequence (very beautiful for what I can see!) crashes after showing
only the hard disk (first icon) and returns to default login screen.

Tried the following workarounds:
- commenting the line * test -n "$LANG" && LANG=`basename "$LANG" ".UTF-8"` *
- installing packages SUNWlang-en-extra and SUNWlang-it-extra
- changing $LANG env variable to en_US in /etc/default/init
- changing language to other values other than en_us.UTF-8 and it_it.UTF-8

with no success.

Can You please suggest some solution?
(I really can't wait to have KDE4 on OpenSolaris and just these three seconds
made me "wow", so my profound kompliments to the team!)

Thank You very much
Sdt
