Ken,

How does using gcc get us around the incompatibilities
of having
 different
ABIs? Or does that not matter?

Hi Alan,

Oh, I was answering the question in the sense of does
KDE 3.5.7 or above compile on Solaris. In relation to
Sun Studio 12 C++ ABI?? I know Qt 4.1.3 and Arts
compiles using Sun Studio 12 with no issues (i.e. that
I know of).

I haven't gotten around to building KDE 4.0b2 (i.e.
kdelibs/kdebase) with Sun Studio 12 yet.
