Wasn't that with gcc? That's not difficult, but let's not forget that any 
plugins or add-ons (kde applettes, kde apps) will have the potential to 
cause a problem with the different ABIs.

Most current on x86 using SunStudio is 3.4.3.

You should be able to get one that is current that is built with gcc on 
either blastwave or belenix.
