Ken, Sorry to be slow to reply, this snuck past me in my inbox, which I'm cleaning out now. I guess my point is that we know pretty much that the sources will compile with gcc, and I think that's a good first step. But if we really want this code to be the most stable, compiling it with Studio would be preferred, IMO, because of the ABI issues that exist between Studio and gcc in regards to c++ code. With that said, Stefan has posted quite a bit of problems with Studio 12 and getting it to work, but there are a couple alternatives that can be taken. I saw that Stefan has a slot to discuss this, or proposed a slot at the summit in a week or two. I find that interesting as Ian Murdock stated that KDE would not be a part of Indiana, which I thought the summit was originally for. It's all so confusing to me, but I have decided not to attend the summit and will meet with Stefan when he comes out to the Bay area the previous week (i.e., his manager mentioned he would be coming to the Bay area on next Thurs). -- Alan DuBoff - Solaris x86 IHV/OEM Group
