Hi Victoria,

I don't agree with what you said here. So we have a disagreement. The ISC Code
of Conduct reads, in part:

This code applies equally to the core development team,
open source contributors and those seeking help and guidance.

...

When we disagree, try to understand why. Disagreements, both social and
technical, happen all the time and KEA is no exception. It is important
that we resolve disagreements and differing views constructively. Remember
that we're different. The strength of KEA comes from its varied community,
people from a wide range of backgrounds. Different people have different
perspectives on issues. Being unable to understand why someone holds a
viewpoint doesn't mean that they're wrong. Don't forget that it is human to
err and blaming each other doesn't get us anywhere. Instead, focus on helping
to resolve issues and learning from mistakes.

---- End of quote from Code of Conduct ------

Given the fact that we have a disagreement and we are both currently active on
an ISC public mailing list, would you agree that we are both bound with equal
force to try to understand each other and resolve our disagreements and
differing views constructively? If we can't yet agree on what public support
means, can we at least agree to try to understand each other and come to an
agreement about how the Code of Conduct governs our interactions with each
other on this ISC mailing list?

At the very least, I think the Code of Conduct requires me to approach you in
this manner with a question like this. That is all I can do, though, until you
provide me with a response. And that raises another question, a question that
might make you uncomfortable but I must ask it: Do you consider that the Code
of Conduct imposes an obligation on you to answer my questions in public, on
this list? That is, if you do not answer my questions, would you admit that you
would be guilty of not engaging with me in the process of trying to understand
each other and resolve our disagreements and differing views constructively and
thus in direct violation of the Code of Conduct?

Kind regards,

Chuck Zmudzinski
