Berikut ini beberapa kutipan dari tulisan Pdt Sammy Lee pada forum diskusi Siutao (Aksara Tiongkok kuno teguhkan Alkitab) yg katanya kutipan dari TTC GFF & Jane English, yang kemudian saya check pada buku yg sama dan ternyata di-pleset2 in. Coba simak berikut ini:

Berikut adalah note/comment dari penulisnya untuk chapter 42 >From the One the universe is created and at all levels of the world all phenomena are the result of the harmonization of two opposing forces. The wise understand how to live in correspondence with these forces. The foolish identify with one force and are defeated by the counterforce. This is "violence." The wise do not seek to triumph in this way. Dan bandingkan dengan terjemahan R.L. Wing dalam bukunya THE TAO OF POWER, The Aquarian Press, United Kingdom 1986: KNOWING POLARITY The Tao produced the One The One produced the Two The Two produced the Three The Three produced All Things All Things carry Yin and hold to Yang; Their blended Influence brings Harmony. ....... Berikut adalah komentarnya: This is the most penetrating and succinct of Lao Tzu's descriptions of the formation of the universe. What he does not touch on, in this passage, is the Absolute that produced the Tao. The Absolute stands outside of space and time --- outside of the universes it creates. The Tao produced the One: temporal/spatial reality. The One produced the Two: the opposite charges of positive and negative (yin and yang). The Two produced the Three: matter, energy, and the physical laws that bind them together. From these three came the existence of All Things in the universe. All Things are interconnected and interdependent, and from this concept comes the behavior of polarity: When something increases, something else decreases. Thus Evolved Leader who wish to endure do not elevate themselves; and those who would like to live out their days are never violent. Artinya sangat-sangat mendalam, tidak seperti yang anda pikirkan terlalu sederhana dan, itu dia !, terlalu dipaksakan agar sesuai dengan keinginan anda. Wing ini disertakan pula tulisan mandarin-nya dan huruf yang dipergunakan adalah SHENG (produce, beget, menghasilkan, memperanakkan, melahirkan) dan BUKAN "ZAO" !!! Mohon klarifikasi pembaca, apakah Tao Zao Ie, Ie Zao Erl ataukah Tao Sheng Ie, Ie Sheng Erl .. Disini Gia-Fu Feng and Jane English (serta semua translator lainnya) SAMA SEKALI TIDAK MENGGUNAKAN ISTILAH HIS / HIM / HE UNTUK TAO, TAPI MENGGUNAKAN ISTILAH IT. Apa anda mengerti perbedaan IT dan HE ? Jadi jangan diplesetkan jadi "he/him" yang mana anda kemudian arahkan menjadi your God ! It's a large scale deception of the people man!!!. May God forgive you. The first two lines in this passage describe the Taoist view of the period shortly after the beginning of the universe when the Tao came in existence but all matter and energy remained one cohesive and undifferentiated substance. Theoretical physicists, searching for a single interaction, or unified field, at the heart of the universe, might describe this state as one that existed seconds before the Big Bang. In the first billionth of a second after the beginning of the Big Bang, the four forces appeared (gravity, strong nuclear force, electromagnetism, and weak nuclear force), and energy and matter, time and space, were differentated. Lao Tzu calls the actions of the physical forces throughout the universe and in the social patterns of human beings, the Tao. The term Great in this passage refers to the Tao and its cyclic movements through reality. Because it goes far, it returns - or, given enough time, history repeats itself. The movements of the Tao follow the laws of the physical forces, and the Power (Te) of Taoism lies in perceiving and understanding the manifestations of those laws in society. Dari penjelasan di atas tersebut, jelaslah bahwa Lao Tzu adalah seorang yang rationalis, evolutionalis dan sama sekali bukan creationalis. Semuanya terjadi sesuai dengan hukum alam dan berjalan secara alamiah, SAMA SEKALI TIDAK DENGAN 1-2-3 TERJADILAH!!!. Tulisan2nya pada Tao Te Ching ini sangat mendalam artinya BAHKAN Mr. Sammy Lee telah berhasil menemukan indikasi bahwa TERNYATA ALKITAB SEBAGIAN ADALAH TAFSIRAN TAO TE CHING !!! A L K I T A B T E R N Y A T A T A F S I R A N D A R I TAO TE CHING !!! Demikian hebatnya Tao Te Ching, sampai Jesus sendiri banyak memakainya dalam penulisan Alkitab. (Ini adalah kesimpulan saya dari diskusi ini mengenai Tao Te Ching yang dihubungkan dengan Alkitab) Sammy: Here is another quotation from the same book: "I do not know whose Son He is, He was before any king [born into the world]." -- Ibid, ch. 4, p. 6 ....... He is the Dao (Tao) meaning the Word, the Way or the Truth, who created everything. Leon: Lagi2 plesetan, coba pak Sammy perhatikan kutipan dari buku yg sama ch. 4, p.6. (quoted exactly word-by-word): I do not know from whence it comes. It is the forefather of the gods. Again the translator always use "It" instead of "He". Look at this another translation "I do not know whose offspring it is, This image in front of the source" As Lao Tzu points out in this passage, the TAO IS NOT THE SOURCE OF THE UNIVERSE --- the Absolute --- but rather it is THE WAY THAT EVERYTHING IN THE UNIVERSE CHANGES AND EVOLVES. Like a mathematical formula, the Tao is both empty and userful; and like a formula, it can be used again and again. The Tao permeates nature. It moves through the world, leveling the extremes --- smoothing and harmonizing --- and evolving the universe and All Things in it. Menurut para ahli (katanya): Kemungkinannya adalah bahwa Alkitab sebagai 'salah satu' rekaman sejarah masa purba yang diturunkan secara lisan (apa sudah ada tulisan pada 6000 th yang lalu ?) serta tercampur legenda dan tidak lepas dari human error, mungkin dapat dicari pendekatannya melalui huruf/karakter China yang juga merupakan 'salah satu' rekaman sejarah kuno China dimana huruf2 tsb merupakan satu2nya (???) huruf kuno didunia yang sampai sekarang masih dipakai. Jadi jika plesetan pada huruf tersebut sesuai dengan Alkitab maka dikatakan bahwa huruf Tionghoa perteguh alkitab. Tapi jika SEBALIKNYA ? Apakah anda sudah siap mental untuk mengakui bahwa alkitab anda salah karena tidak sesuai dengan bukti sejarah yang otentik yang tercantum dalam chinese ideogram ? (Jangan lupa, huruf2 China berjumlah sekitar 50,000 karakter, pasti ada yg bisa di-utak-atik-gatuk agar merupakan penyangkalan terhadap Alkitab) Jadi berbesar hatilah dan terimalah kenyataan bahwa ada kebenaran dalam alkitab tapi juga ada kesalahan2 dan perumpamaan2 yang tidak bisa ditafsirkan secara harfiah.
