the same problem, the ipod shuffle 2nd generation not reconigzed ( now there is not messages with tail -f /var/logsyslog) - Probed with kali 4.3.0-kali1-amd64 Debian 4.3.3-5kali4 X86_64 (into the same notebook) and NOT RECONIGZED (but appears the repetitive messages into syslog ) Only at another notebook (32bist) with Lubuntu with kernel 4.4.0-22 goes OK. Ipod is vendor-> 05ac product 1301 The systems where do NOT goes is using xhci_hcd on usb port.
