Dear all,

I am new to KiCAD but am very impressive in using it. I have drawn
several schematics and am about to start PCB layout.

After defined the PCB board size and read the netlist, how can I
place some of the components on some precise positions?

For instance I have a DIN 96-pin male connector on the board that
require to plug with a female connector on a back plane. The
position of the DIN male connector have to be precise for it to fit
with back plane in a rack.

Commerical CAD packages like PowerPCB allow defining a reference
origin on the board (say top left corner) and enter the X-Y
coordinate of the component module with respect to the origin. Doing
so the module is placed exactly on the required position.

Anyone have idea please advise.

Thanks in advance,
Patrick
