After some mining through my memory I remembered that the best  
solution on Linux is to print directly to postscript pritnter (if you  
have one).
I always had problems with emulations.

Now, I'm using Mac OS X and I don't know how to directly print to the  
printer (so avoiding the driver).
But since I am experimenting with CNC machine I don't really care  
about that.
