I've just been using the binaries so far.  I tried compiling on my
Debian system but had problems and didn't have time to track it down.

Yes, I tried the latest RC off the kicad sourceforge main page, and the
RC from Jean's website which was a little newer.  I also tried the files
on my linux machine with the same crash.
I went back to the latest stable version (2007-07-09) and it worked fine.

Do I need to send the any module libraries or are the modules embedded
in the board file?  As I mentioned I did get a previous version to plot
the files, but I'll send you the file anyhow in case you want to look at
it for debugging.

BTW, where is a good place to get prototypes made inexpensively with
solder mask?  I'm looking at pcbfabexpress.com right now but am
interested in other options.
