Hola Agustín,

Gerber files are read by all manufacturers.
.brd files are usually read by the program that created them.
I prefer to send Gerber files to manufacturers (and I have worked with five 
ones) than Kicad, Orcad, Eagle or any pcb suite files.

But you must be sure of the distances and gaps of your manufacturer's 
technology in order to tell Pcbnew to create the Gerber files with them.
