Scoot the cursor over the part you want to drag. Then hit "g" on the keyboard. You don't have to hold the key but you can. Now move the part and the wires will rubber-band. Don't want to use the keyboard? You can also right-click over the part and then a menu pops up where you can do all kinds of things with the part, including drag. Why it was called "g" I don't know.
