I was running KiCad 2007, because it was the version available in the Debian
Stable repositories.

After doing a lot of searching and reading I managed to backport a newer
version of KiCad (2008) from the Testing/Unstable Debian repo. The difference
is tremendous (I didn't get the 2009 version because it isn't in Debian yet,
although I'm hoping it will be there soon). I'm very happy to have done this.

Unfortunately there is a warning displayed when I run KiCad from a terminal:

$ kicad &
$ (kicad:7843): Gtk-WARNING **:
/build/buildd/gtk+2.0-2.12.12/gtk/gtkwidget.c:8564: widget class `GtkPizza' has
no property named `row-ending-details'

Anyone has experience with this? I would really like to have this message stop,
although this warning as far as I've experienced, has no major impact in
usability.

Curiously, this warning was not present after I installed the backported deb
package, but started appearing after some unknown update or modification I
might have made to my system.
