I gave 2009-02-16 final a try! (but the one for Ubuntu, which is based off 
debian, so I imagined it would be more compatible), but unfortunately, when I 
right-clicked on the screen, the menu displayed was empty (white).

I haven't tried the CentOS one, but I'm afraid it'll be the same...
