I have covered the normal way to do things, so you will need to be rather more specific.
Have you tried working through the examples in the tutorial regarding editing parts and modules, and does that work? If it does then there is nothing wrong with the installation, it must be something else. Exactly what are you trying to do and what is the problem (any error messages etc) What is this "copied and modified lib" that you are trying to add. and so on...
