I agree Gerbv is free and open source and I use linux. It works great for 
windows also.

It throws a error when I open a kicad drill file.
Also these drill files do not show up in BatchPCB check tool.
But when I export them as a Ep... drill file then they show up and no error.

I made a mistake with the ratio button and the drill files showed up strange & 
in the wrong locations. So I agree that is a good check.

But the results from batchpcb after I changed the extensions to what they want 
the silk screen shown layors below it where it was. The picture output was 
strange.

I do not know where I can find documentation on kicads drill file options and 
plot options so I know what one to check from batch pcb's faq and other 
instructions.
