one thing i did was to set the the frequency range lower, but then i configured it in windows. is it the same when you configure it in the BIOS?
 
i lowered the frequency to 60Hz and my monitor resolution to 800x600.
 
anyway, will try to confgure this at home. thanks guys! :)
 
P.S.
i installed ubuntu last night but then the installation didn't ask for any root password, just the user. is it normal or is there something wrong during my installation? :)
