i found this link. apparently vsp (e.g. vonage) locked pap2 are semi-factory 
customized. meaning, they had their code burned into the device beyond the 
eeprom area. but some guys have found a way to get around 
this and this is what this link is all about.

pero para dili sakit inyo ulo palit na lang mo sa akoa 'open' na pap2. i never 
had this problem ever. if i forget the password i simply do a hard reset. 
hehehe. 

but then again where's the challenge in that?
