Hello Wendell,

First of welcome to the list. Finally somebody from the the govt sector is
able to notice KLUG.

Regarding KLUG's membership and history, you may contact Matt Arnilo
Baluyos. He is one of the originals of the list and he is currently one of
the maintainers (if not the head maintainer) of the mailing list.

I'm a member of the IOSN-UNDP also. However I'm not that active. I have
previously exchanged emails with Dr. Marcelo. I have also exchanged emails
with Ms Yolynne Medina (also a list member), currently in
Zamboanga, who is actively assisting on various IOSN/FOSS activities.

During previous KLUG meetings, I could still remember discussions on how
KLUG can help out in introducing Linux and FOSS to the local government
sector. But this was waylaid due to some other pressing matters. In my
observation, the activities (tech sessions, meetings, etc) for KLUG were
on hiatus at the moment ready to spring back to active at a moments notice.

KLUG is a diverse group. Its membership includes from the
academe, private sector, LGUs (private capacity), and perhaps also
some from the govt (unofficial).
