Hijackthis is "the" defacto quick-scanner for autorunning apps in your registry. HijackThis' original page is at http://merijn.org but it was acquired by TrendMicro so don't be surprised to see TrendMicro being mentioned in the EULA, or its logo in the app (though the logo might not appear in some versions).
Ang imo gyud one last try is to go Safe Mode, then edit the registry. Make sure you use the Administrator account. One tool you can use to recover your system is using BartPE or MiniPE. Its a bootable recovery disc that uses Win XP PE. MiniPE and BartPE when booted has disc tools, filesystem browser, antivirus, disk partitioners, reversing tools, disk recovery tools, adware/malware removal tools, registry editor. Its a swiss knife. However, I wont be posting the link to its download here because it uses a reverse-engineered version of XP PE. If you want, you can go http://www.google.com.ph/search?q=miniPE+download If registry editing is disabled in your standard account, most probably its a trojan, or a trojan dropper. Recently also, YM-based "bots" are using trojan-like behaviour to do spamming in the YMsphere. Good luck.
