Ok.  big companies?  or small companies too?  what does tester
work pay?  e.g., at the same company, usually what percentage

I'm concerned that there is no consideration of suitability to the
career.  be careful in your choice.  There's still work for IT people 
who aren't any good at IT, but I would not want to be those people.
