Job Purpose/ Description: Specialist Windows Adminitrator to support Amgen's Infrastructure Operations and Project work. The consultant will support a large enterprise environment with specific skills in Windows Server Administration. The consultant will support the ISI Demand Manager to meet the deliverables. They will report to the vendor Team Lead who is responsible for tracking and conveying reporting requirements to vendor. The consultant will be required to provide day-to-day operational support, including on-call duties and to provide project support as needed. Required Skills: Candidates should be familiar with DHCP, DNS, WINS, TCP/IP networking in a LAN & WAN environment, LDAP, NAS & SAN storage, scripting, anti-virus sofware, and various web service for automated patching and provisioning and experience with clustered environments in support of MS SQL Server db environments. Must be able to work autonomously and have the ability to provide advice (including performance tuning suggestions) to internal clients such as DBAs, J2EE WebLogic Admins, Storage Admins, B/U Admins, as well as Application Support Admins. Preferred Skills: Required Experience/Education: Extensive experience (more than 5 yrs) in Windows (NT, W2K, W2K3) in large enterprises.
