Greetings Colleagues, I’m asking this question again because I did not get any responses before:
I have a member of our team who wants to know if Koha does that same type of thing as our old ILS (III Sierra). When filling a hold, Sierra, would select an eligible item from a branch and put it on Sierra’s version of the Holds Queue, then if that branch did not pull their eligible item to fill/trigger that hold within three days, then Sierra would select an eligible item from another branch for three days to fill the hold, and so forth until the hold was filled. We are implementing the Transport Cost Matrix in Koha and I was reading at https://koha-community.org/https://koha-community.org/manual/25.05/en/html/circulationpreferences.html#usetransportcostmatrix that "The library or libraries of the next highest cost shall be selected from only if all the libraries in the previous group are unable to fill the hold.” Unfortunately, that does not tell me by what criteria Koha decides a library is unable to fill the hold with that library's eligible item. What do you folks know about this?
