Hello Christopher, I can't say that I'm able to answer your question, but I
do sympathize with your not getting a response on the first go. You might
try posing your question in the Koha Chat
<https://chat.koha-community.org/koha-community/channels/town-square>. If
you do that, I suggest putting your exact question succinctly at the top of
your message, preceding it with "#####" to format the question as a
heading. That will help the message stand out against the background of a
running list of chat threads, which can sometimes feel like the "stream of
consciousness" literature we read in English classes. Below that heading,
give your friendly greeting and describe the context.

Barring that, I conducted a little experiment with Google Gemini to see how
it would interpret the code: https://gemini.google.com/share/a8f7bb3a8d38.
Perhaps that will be of help. It did not report any time-based criteria.
However, there seem to be multiple system preferences controlling holds
that may also influence the logic. I'm chiefly a backend system
administrator, so I won't comment on those circulation settings.

Wishing you a swift and effective reply,

David Liddle
System Administrator
