APPELLO PER UN’AZIONE URGENTE:
GIORNO 62 DI UNO SCIOPERO DELLA FAME DI PRIGIONIERI POLITICI NELLE CARCERI
TEDESCHE!
SALVARE LA VITA DI ILHAN YELKUVAN E DELLE SUE COMPAGNE E COMPAGNI
Alle organizzazioni e persone nel mondo che si occupano di diritti umani e
solidariet�:
Oggi � il sessantaduesimo giorno dello sciopero della fame e il terzo giorno
dello sciopero della sete del prigioniero politico turco Ilhan Yelkuvan,
detenuto nel carcere di Amburgo, Germania. Ilhan Yelkuvan non si pu� alzare dal
letto e pu� morire da un giorno all’altro.
Questo prigioniero politico sta esigendo l’innalzamento delle condizioni
carcerarie, rispetto al regime speciale di isolamento imposto dal tribunale di
Amburgo contro di lui. Questo regime speciale prevede che Ilhan venga tenuto
rinchiuso in cella per 23 ore al giorno e che l’unica ora d’aria che gli �
concessa sia tra le 4 e le cinque della mattina. Gli � proibito in particolare
qualsiasi contatto con altri prigionieri di nazionalit� turca, per il pericolo
di influenzarli politicamente, secondo il giudice responsabile. Il turco �
l’unica lingua che Ilhan domina realmente, e cos� lui qualifica questo regime
come un "sistema di aparthaid".
Ilhan Yelkuvan � condannato all’ergastolo in prima istanza dal tribunale di
Amburgo, per delitti relativi alla sua militanza nel DHKP-C (Fronte
Rivoluzionario per la Liberazione del Popolo Turco); quest’organizzazione �
dichiarata illegale e perseguita in Germania dal 1998, cos� come dal 1993
l’organizzazione Kurda PKK.
Altre e altri prigionieri politici turchi detenuti in varie carceri in
Germania, Francia, Belgio e Svizzera si sono uniti allo sciopero della fame di
Ilhan Yelkuvan, esigendo l’innalzamento delle condizioni del regime carcerario
di isolamento e la fine della persecuzione politica del DHKP- C.
1300 prigionieri politici detenuti nelle carceri turche sono entrati dal 12
gennaio in sciopero della fame in solidariet� con Ilhan e i suoi compagni.
Ishan Ersoy, che si era aggiunto allo sciopero della fame, ieri ha perduto
coscienza ed � stato trasferito nell’ospedale carcerario di Berlino, dove le
autorit� negano al suo avvocato di visitarlo. Anche Ali Ekti, prigioniero
politico detenuto ad Amburgo, si trova in condizioni di estrema debolezza e sta
sputando sangue nel suo 55� giorno della fame.
I prigionieri politici hanno annunciato che continueranno le loro azioni fino
a che non siano esaudite le loro richieste. questa � una questione di vita o di
morte, ed � una questione di ore o di giorni.
Noi, l’organizzazione Libertad, pensiamo che le loro richieste siano giuste e
debbano essere esaudite.
Facciamo quest’appello urgente a tutte le organizzazioni e persone nel mondo
che si occupano di diritti umani e solidariet�: aiutate con la vostra protesta a
salvare la vita di Ilhan yelkuvan e dei suoi compagni. Adesso!
Inviate un fax di protesta al giudice responsabile e una mail ai ministri
tedeschi dell’interno e della giustizia, chiedendo che si esaudiscano le
richieste di Ylhan Yelkuvan e dei suoi compagni.

Hoy es el dia
62 de la huelga de hambre y el dia 3 de la huelga de sed del
preso politico
turco Ilhan Yelkuvan, detenido en el carcel de Hamburgo,
Alemania. Ilhan
Yelkuvan no se puede levantar de la cama y puede morir
cualquier
dia.
El preso politico esta exigiendo el levantamiento de las
condiciones
carcelarias especiales de aislamiento impuestas por el
tribunal
hamburguesa en su contra. Este regim�n especial dice que Ilhan
Yelkuvan
debe ser encerrado 23 horas del dia en su celda y que el patio
esta
limitado a una hora diaria, al cual el preso tiene que acceder solo
entre
las 4 y las 5 de la manana. Especialmente queda prohibido
cualquier
contacto de Ilhan Yelkuvan con otro preso de nacionalidad turca por
el
peligro de una intoxicaci�n politica de otros presos, segun el
juez
responsable. El turco es la unica idioma que realmente domina
Ilhan
Yelkuvan y asi el cualifica este regimen carcelario un "sistema
de
Apartheid".
Ilhan Yelkuvan esta condenado en primera instancia por
el tribunal de
Hamburgo, Alemania a una pena perpetua por delitos
relacionados con su
militancia en la organizaci�n DHKPC (Frente
revolucionario para la
liberaci�n del pueblo de Turquia), la cual qued�
prohibido y
perseguido el ano 1998 por el Estado de Alemania al igual
que
anteriormente la organizaci�n kurda PKK en el ano 1993.

preso politico retenido en Hamburgo, Alemania, tambien se encuentra

debil y esta salivando sangre en su dia 55 de huelga de
hambre.
Los presos politicos han anunciado de continuar sus acciones
hasta que se
cumplen sus exigiencias. Esto es una cuestion de vida o muerte,
esto es
una cuestion de horas o dias. Nosotros, la organizaci�n
Libertad!
consideramos las exigiencias son justas y deben ser
cumplidas.
Hacemos esta llamada de urgencia a todas las organizaciones y
personas en
el mundo comprometidos con los derechos humanos y la solidaridad:

2. TO THE ORGANISATIONS AND PERSONS IN THE WORLD
DEFENDING HUMAN RIGHTS AND
SOLIDARITY:
Today ist the 62. day of the
hunger strike and the third day of thirst
strike which carries out the
turkish political prisoner Ilhan Yelkuvan in
the prison of Hamburg, Germany.
Ilhan Yelkuvan is no longer able to stand
up and could die these
days.
The political prisoners reclaims the abolishment of the special
conditions
of isolation imposed over him by the Hamburg court. These
special
conditions consist in the order to lock up Ilhan Yelkuvan in his cell
for
23 hours, meanwhile his courtyard daily is reduced to one hour
daily
between 4 and 5 in the morning, where he has to be on his own. Any
contact
of Ilhan Yelkuvan with other prisoners of turkish nationality is
strictly
forbidden. As turkish is the only language Ilhan Yelkuvan speaks,
he
considers these measures a "Apartheid system".
Ilhan Yelkuvan was
sentenced to a life-long imprisonment by the Hamburg
court in Germany in
realtion with his membership and activity in the
DHKPC, the turkish
Revolutionary Peoples Liberation Front, which was
forbidden and supressed by
the German State in 1998 like it already
happened to the Kurdish organization
PKK in 1993.
Ilhan Yelkuvan's hunger strike is joined by more turkish
political
prisoners jailed in Germany, France, Belgium and Switzerland. They
also
reclaim the abolishment of the isolation measures and an end to
the
political persecution of the DHKPC organisation. In Turkey, further
1300
political prisoners started a hunger strike in solidarity with
Ilhan
yelkuvan and his comrades the 12th of January.
One of the
hungerstrikers, Ihsan Ersoy, lost consciousness yesterday and
was brought to
the prison hospital in Berlin, Germany, where the
authorities deny the access
of his lawyer. Ali Ekti, another political
prisoner on hungerstrike since 55
days, also finds himself in a very
alarming health situation spitting out
blood.
The political prisoners have announced to continue their protest
until
thier reclaims are being fullfilled. It is a cuestion of life and
death,
it is a cuestion of days or even hours. Our organisation
Libertad!
considers that the reclaims of the prisoners on hungerstrike are
totally
valid and have to be fullfilled.

the human rights and the
solidarity:

Heute ist der
62. Tag des Hungerstreiks und der dritte Tag des Durststreiks
von Ilhan
Yelkuvan, einem in Hamburg, Deutschland inhaftierten
t�rkischen politischen
Gefangenen. Ilhan Yelkuvan kann nicht mehr vom
Bett aufstehen. Er kann in den
n�chsten Tagen sterben.
Ilhan Yelkuvan fordert die Aufhebung der gegen
ihn vom Hamburger
Oberlandesgericht verh�ngten Isolationshaftbedingungen.
Ilhan Yelkuvan
ist 23 Stunden auf seiner Zelle eingeschlossen, der Hofgang -
alleine -
findet morgends zwischen vier und f�nf Uhr statt. Jeder Kontakt
zu
t�rkischen Gefangenen ist ihm strengstens untersagt und
wird
systematisch verhindert, da - so der Haftrichter - die Gefahr
bestehe,
da� Ilhan Yelkuvan Mitgefangene politisch beeinflussen k�nne.
Ilhan
Yelkuvan spricht kaum Deutsch und kann sich nur in t�rkisch
wirklich
verst�ndigen. Er betrachtet die Sonderhaftbedingungen als Ma�nahme
der
Apartheid.
Ilhan Yelkuvan ist vom Hamburger Oberlandesgericht
aufgrund mehrerer
Delikte in Zusammenhang mit seiner Aktivit�t in der DHKPC,
der
t�rkischen Volksbefreiungspartei-Front, zu einer
lebensl�nglichen
Haftstrafe verurteilt worden. Seine Anw�lte haben gegen das
Urteil
geklagt. Die DHKPC wurde - wie 1993 schon die kurdische Organisation
PKK -
1998 vom Bundesinnenministerium vcerboten und wird seitdem
verfolgt.
Weitere t�rkische politische Gefangene in Deutschland, der
Schweiz,
Belgien, Spanien und Frankreich
haben sich dem Hungerstreik
angeschlossen. Sie fordern die Aufhebung der
Isolationshaft und ein Ende der
politischen Verfolgung der DHKPC. In der
T�rkei befinden sich 1300 politische
Gefangene seit dem 12. Januar 2000
in einem Solidarit�tshungerstreik mit
Ilhan Yelkuvan und seinen
GenossInnen.
Ihsan Ersoy, einer der
Hungerstreikenden, verlor gestern das Bewu�tsein
und wurde in das
Haftkrankenhaus Berlin-Moabit �berf�hrt. Ali Ekti,
der sich seit 55 Tagen am
Hungerstreik in Hamburg beteiligt, ist in einem
gesundheitlich ebenfalls sehr
bedenklichen Zustand; er spuckt Blut.
Die politischen Gefangenen haben
angek�ndigt, ihre Aktion fortzusetzen
bis ihre Forderungen erf�llt werden. Es
ist eine Frage auf Leben und
Tod, es geht um Tage und Stunden. Die
Organisation Libertad! unterst�tzt
die Forderungen der politischen
Gefangenen. Sie m�ssen erf�llt werden.
Wir rufen alle Organisationen und
Personen in der Welt, die sich f�r
Menschenrechte und Solidarit�t einsetzen
auf: Helft, die Leben von Ilhan
Yelkuvan und seiner Genossinnen und Genossen
zu retten!
