severity and frequency over a period of time. Have you ever noticed how
catastrophic and fatal earthquakes are nearly always preceded by weaker
tremors that steadily increase in intensity, frequency, and amplitude of
swings on the pendulum. And have you ever noticed how oscillations on
the Dow Jones Stock Market Averages have been growing ever more
frequent, forceful, even formidable, in recent years.
