BEIJING - The Chinese people are sure that Yugoslavs,
led by President Slobodan Milosevic, will soon rebuild
the NATO-devastated country, it was noted during talks
between Serbian and Chinese journalists on Tuesday.
A delegation of the Journalists' Association of the
Yugoslav republic of Serbia, headed by Association
President Milorad Komrakov, was holding closing talks
at the Tianjin Evening News and the Tianjin Daily.
Tianjin Daily Editor Ju Yunsheng said the Chinese
people had great sympathies for Yugoslavia and the
Yugoslav people, whose experience in anti-fascist
struggle had stood them in good stead in their heroic
resistance to last spring's U.S.-led NATO aggression.
Tianjin's high-circulation Evening News Editor Guo
Changju said his paper had condemned the brutal
aggression on Yugoslavia and had been among the first
to expose western, especially U.S., media lies.
The bombing of Yugoslavia has brought the two
countries' people and journalists still closer
together in their common effort to expose the lies of
the United States and its European satellites about
China and Yugoslavia, it was stressed during the
talks.
