The Historic 74 Days of Hotel Lotte Workers Strike Concludes in Victory
On August 21, 2000, on the 74th day of the strike that began on June 9 and 54th day since the unprecedented raid on the striking workers by the special anti-terrorist squad of the police on June 29, the Hotel Lotte Workers Union brought the dispute to a victory.
The union held a general assembly of members and voted on the provisional agreement with the management for the conclusion of the strike. The assembly voted 72% in favour in approving the provisional agreement the union's negotiation team had concluded with the management.
