Wall-paper praising Kim Jong Il displayed in S. Korea
Pyongyang, December 10 (KCNA) -- Recently a wall-paper praising the
respected leader Kim Jong Il
was seen pasted on a wall of a building of Korea university, according to
voice of National Salvation from
Seoul.
An article on the wall-paper said that the world's attention focuses on
Pyongyang where Kim Jong Il
enforces independent politics, adding that he is the greatest man steering
world politics.
It appealed to all people to hold in higher esteem and follow Kim Jong
Il, the sun of the 21st century who
is admired by the world, and strive to implement the June 15 joint
declaration in order to bring the day of
reunification when they will enjoy happiness under his warm care.
World Day of Human Rights observed
Pyongyang, December 10 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today dedicates a signed
article to the World Day
of Human Rights.
The desire of humankind to lead an independent and creative life while
exercising their rights will surely
be achieved, the article says, and goes on:
The issues of ensuring and improving human rights are widely discussed
on the occasion of the day this
year.
The true standards of human rights are whether an independent and
creative life of the popular masses is
ensured or not.
The DPRK thoroughly ensures true vital rights and democratic freedom to
all members of society.
In capitalist society working people are deprived of human dignity and
political rights and even the right
to existence.
The imperialists are now interfering in internal affairs of other
countries with their "standards of human
rights," asserting that human rights have no border and human rights are
above power.
Their logic on human rights is to justify their aggression and armed
intervention in other countries.
That is why most of the countries have waged a resolute struggle
against the imperialists' interference in
their internal affairs and encroachment on their sovereignty, rejecting the
western "standards of human rights"
and logic on "human rights" in the international arena including the UN.

International Day of Broadcasting for Children marked
Pyongyang, December 10 (KCNA) -- Minju Joson today in a signed article
marks the International Day
of Broadcasting for Children.
On this day colorful events are taking place in many countries for
children on the theme set out by an
international organization, the article says, and goes on:
The theme of the day this year is existence and well-being of children.
The problem of children is getting serious in many countries due to the
consequences of the old
international order and the lack of proper state measures for children.
The DPRK took part in drafting the declaration and action program of
the world summit for children and
worked out a national action program based on them and have made tireless
efforts for its implementation
over the last decade.
The DPRK government will as always pay deep attention to the work to
promote the children's
well-being and strengthen cooperation with the international organization
and various countries of the world
in this field.
Japanese media's anti-DPRK false propaganda flailed
Pyongyang, December 10 (KCNA) -- Japan's media is now busy spreading
false rumour that the DPRK
is "negotiating with some countries for the indigenous production of
up-to-date fighters and interceptor
missiles" and "it is stepping up the modernization of conventional weapons."
Nihon Keizai Shimbun even went so far as to assert that "voices are
heard expressing concern over the
escalating arms race on the Korean peninsula."
In this regard Rodong Sinmun today observes in a signed commentary:
It can never be overlooked that media of Japan is pulling up the DPRK,
which poses no problem, under
this or that absurd pretext, while keeping mum about its militarist forces'
ever more frantic arms buildup.
It is certain that the Japanese militarist forces are behind this smear
campaign, commentary notes, and
continues:
The anti-DPRK false propaganda reflects the ulterior aim of the
Japanese reactionaries who speed up
their arms buildup and launch overseas aggression.
Such attitude of media does not accord with their mission nor helps
improve the DPRK-Japan relations.
Japan's media is well advised to discard such a trite method.

pyongyang, 9 de diciembre (atcc) -- las "fuerzas navales de
autodefensa" del japon decidieron construir y
ubicar dos "buques de escolta de tipo portaaviones" en el periodo del
proximo plan de arreglo del poderio
defensivo (2001-2005).
las "fuerzas navales de autodefensa" del japon se proponen disponer por
primera vez de este "buque de
escolta "para elevar la capacidad de operacion antisubmarina y poseer la
funcion de mando de la flota.
esto demuestra que rebasa el limite del peligro el complot de los
reaccionarios japoneses orientado a
convertir su pais en una potencia militar y completar los preparativos de
agresion al ultramar.
los funcionarios de la agencia de defensa del japon insisten en que el
"buque de escolta" en cuestion "no
tiene la capacidad de ofensiva". pero tal perorata no pasa de ser una
sofisteria para encubrir su finalidad de
agresion al ultramar.
el portaaviones es un buque de guerra con mision de atacar a la
contraparte.
el japon al tomar la decision de poseer el buque de escolta de tipo
portaaviones ha hecho un papel mojado
de la "constitucion de paz" que restringe la salida al ultramar tratando de
reforzar la capacidad de operacion
militar en cualquiera region del mundo.
el presente acto temerario del japon puede ocasionar la carrera
armamentista en asia-pacifico y perturbar
gravemente la situacion general en esta region.
recientemente el hombre en autoridad diplomatica del japon dijo que su
pais va a publicar la "carta blanca
sobre la diplomacia del desarme".
la construccion de un buque de escolta de tipo portaaviones cuesta 90
mil millones de yenes. este mismo
hecho demuestra a la faz del mundo, que el compromiso del japon sobre el
"desarme" y la "paz" no pasa de
ser una hipocresia.
el japon ocupa ya el segundo lugar del mundo en el aumento armamentista
y al aprobar la ley relativa a la
"guia de cooperacion de defensa japon-ee.uu." ha preparado ya un aparato
legal e institucional que le permite
intervenir militarmente en todos los conflictos de la region de asia-pacifico.
todos los hechos demuestran irrefutablemente que la decision del japon
de disponer buques de escolta de
tipo portaaviones es un eslabon de sus maquinaciones de militarizacion y
conversion en potencia militar para
la agresion al ultramar.
los belicistas del japon inflados por la ambicion de agresion al
ultramar ignoran que tales maquinaciones
aproximaran solo el camino de la autodestruccion.
asia de hoy no es la de ayer.
el japon no podra evitar duro castigo al acelerar su aumento
armamentista y sus preparativos de agresion
al ultramar.
