BAGHDAD Iraq said U.S. and British planes attacked targets in the
south of the country on Friday, but no casualties were reported.

"At 10:50 a.m. (2:50 a.m. EDT) U.S. and British warplanes violated our
air space, carrying out five sorties from Saudi Arabia and four sorties
from Kuwait," an Iraqi military spokesman said in a statement carried by
the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
