Havana, June 15 (AIN) Experts of Cuba and China signed today a
memorandum of agreement about cooperation on engineering and technique
sciences that will contribute to the strengthening of mutual relations
between the two countries.
The ways of collaboration agreed cover studio visits and scientific
exchanges, engineers and technicians of high level and the promotion of
exploring missions to ease joint business, mainly.
Also they left conditions created for the organization of
seminars-workshops that promote the bettering of the specialized links and
even the development of interest actions joint or bilateral with
institutions of other nations.
The agreement is in force for three years and can be extended
automatically.
The document was signed by Doctor Rosa Elena Sime�n, Minister of
Science, Technology and Environment and Doctor Jian Song , President of the
Engineering Chinese Academy and Vice President of the Consulting Policy
Conference of the Chinese People.
The friendship relations of unity and solidarity that exist between
the Chinese and the Cuban peoples are manifest , affirmed Dr. Sime�n who
praised the possibility of talking with professor Song defined as an
eminence of the engineering of his country.
At the same time , the visiting expert expressed his interest to
intensify the cooperation with his Cuban colleagues in the engineering and
technical sciences and in an evident public invitation to the Cuban Minister
he exclaimed : "You will all be welcome in China"
Song and his staff visited the scientific pole at the west side of the
capital , among them : Genetic Engineering, Biotechnology and the Academy of
Sciences of Cuba.
The delegation of the Chinese Academy of Engineering will return to
its country this Sunday, after a visit that was qualified as successful by
the chief of the delegation.
