All those who oppose the hegemony of a minority,
who oppose imperialism, fascism and capitalism
WE MUST UNITE! WE MUST CLARIFY!
AGAINST imperialism FOR Independence!
AGAINST fascism FOR Democracy!
AGAINST capitalism FOR Socialism!
In Genoa we surrounded those who surround the entire world with their
economy, military and culture. But this has been a symbolic surrounding. The
imperialists would not present us with an easy victory. In order to defeat
the World Empire of imperialism called "globalisation", a long-running
struggle, which requires the expert unification of all means of struggle and
organisation, will be necessary. As the DHKC (Revolutionary People�s
Liberation Front) we are a part of this resistance which has strong and weak
sides. Our strength is in the steps that we took to make real a world-wide
unity against imperialism. Our strength is the minimum unity that we can
bring about in this struggle. Our weakness is the fact that those who came
to Genoa could not carry this struggle on in their own countries
sufficiently. Our weakness is our difficulty to answer the question of "what
for?"
As an organisation, which has been struggling against imperialism and the
collaborationist oligarchy for the last thirty years, we take it as our
responsibility to share our thoughts and suggestions on developing the
internationalist struggle against imperialism with organisations and
individuals within this resistance.
1- We must continue our unity and develop it: The forces which take part in
this resistance are revolutionaries and anti-imperialists from the
neo-colonies, like our country, and the revolutionaries and
anti-imperialists from the imperialist-capitalist countries. In this
resistance, besides the forces that defend revolution and socialism like us,
there are also forces which oppose capitalism, without having an alternative
and are aiming to reform capitalism.
If the unity is limited with only actions against "the summits of
imperialist countries and institutions" this cannot be a real unity.
Imperialism continues to do what it wants to do in countries individually.
Wherever in the world there is a tyranny we must stand against it TOGETHER
and wherever there is a resistance against tyranny we must support it
TOGETHER. Imperialists will try to separate the forces within this struggle
by several ways. And of course, some unavoidable divisions will occur. As,
the anti-imperialist, anti-fascist, progressive, democratic forces, we must
succeed to resist and get organised without the divisions and progress in
reaching our national and international aims by establishing the unity of
the peoples of the world.
2- We must develop the struggle in our own countries; If we cannot complete
the struggle within the struggle against the policies, which are the
reflections in our own individual countries of the world empire of
imperialism, one of the strands of the resistance will be in the air. It is
not possible to develop a movement in a way that it can create results just
by organising 2-3 demonstrations annually and then going back to their own
lives in which "there is a compromise with the regime".
3- We must clarify the terms; Globalisation is a term which was developed to
mask the hegemony of imperialism. Globalisation is not a concept that is
different than imperialism. Globalisation is the name of the freedom of
world-wide exploitation and massacres for imperialism, mainly US
imperialism. The main enemy of the peoples of the world is imperialism. And
all those who take part in this resistance must clearly display and announce
the name of the enemy. Instead of defining ourselves by using imperialists�
definitions like "anti-globalisation", we must define our struggle as an
ANTI-IMPERIALIST STRUGGLE.
4- We must clarify our goals; even though the enemy is the same in the
neo-colony countries and imperialist countries, there are differences in the
conditions. Therefore this means that there will be differences in the goals
and the means to obtain the goals. The revolutionaries of neo-colonies will
bring the goal of INDEPENDENCE AND DEMOCRACY (People�s Democracy) up front
and will follow a longer path for SOCIALISM whilst the revolutionaries of
imperialist countries will directly struggle for SOCIALISM. Even though in
the neo-colonies and imperialist countries different stages and alliances
will form, there is only one way which will make us reach our goal and it is
REVOLUTION! The way for INDEPENDENCE and DEMOCRACY in the neo-colonies and
SOCIALISM in imperialist countries is not a parliamentary struggle but
REVOLUTION. THE ONLY WAY IS REVOLUTION; is the mutual slogan of the
revolutionaries in both neo-colony and imperialist countries. These two
struggles are the allies of!

ach other. The mutual line of struggle -from Seattle to Genoa- against
imperialism is one of the concrete forms of this alliance. But it cannot
stay as the only form. This alliance can be enriched in several ways. We
must develop the strength of the revolution in single countries and the
unity and solidarity on a world scale.
5- The alternative to capitalism is socialism; In the last ten years
imperialism�s ideological and cultural attacks and propaganda, claiming that
"socialism is dead", have condemned the entire world into having no
alternative. If this world-wide resistance cannot defend its own
alternative, this means that it is condemning itself to defeat right from
beginning. No one should expect a better capitalism or a more humane
imperialism. Imperialism and capitalism means more starvation, injustice,
inequality and massacres.
We are inviting all the anti-imperialist and anti-capitalist forces, to
discuss the "Alternative". The alternative is socialism. Neither the fact of
its collapse in several countries nor the propaganda of imperialism can
change this historical fact. We even can discuss socialism and criticise its
insufficiencies. This is what we claim; socialism�s problems can be solved
within socialism.
6- The demagogy of "violence" and "terrorism" should not be taken seriously;
without a doubt, when the alternative is defined this means that the
struggle directly targets the SYSTEM. In order to protect its own system
imperialism will use all forms of oppression, terror and bans in both
neo-colonies and imperialist countries. Its increasing use of violence
during demonstrations is proof of it. Us, the neo-colony revolutionaries,
have been living with this violence for decades. Imperialists have already
started to divide artificially the anti-imperialist forces as "those who are
against violence and those who are for violence". The demagogy of violence
and terror is a demagogy that has been used by imperialists for decades
against patriots and revolutionaries who struggle against imperialism in
order to "isolate" them. The people and the revolutionaries never chose to
use violence. Imperialism enforces the violence. We all saw this at the
recent anti-imperialist gathering; t!

y fired the first bullet. Imperialism has been ruling the world for
centuries by using violence, and no option but to use violence and armed
struggle is left for the people. Tomorrow also the people who took part in
the resistance will be called "terrorists". The isolation cells of Europe
and the USA will be used also for the "opposition of globalisation". This
shows us the necessity of the resistance against anti-democratic, fascist
and fascistic policies in our countries and not to take the bourgeoisie�s
demagogy of "violence and terror" into consideration.
7- For independence against imperialism, for democracy against fascism and
for socialism against capitalism is the formula of the common struggle of
the peoples of the world and their common goal. When we unite all our mutual
and individual struggles within this goal and get organised accordingly, to
cease the hegemony of a bunch of people who have a monopoly over 6 billion
people, then this will not be a utopia but a reality. This anti-imperialist,
anti-capitalist fight which has been continuing since Seattle, can be
converted into a new international of the peoples of the world. Then it
would be possible to stand against the G-8, the IMF, and the World Bank, as
the ENTIRE PEOPLES OF THE WORLD. When we succeed this world will no longer
be the farm of 3-5 monopolies and imperialists but will become a place where
the peoples of the world live happily.
8- Carlo Giuliani who was murdered in Genoa by the bodyguards of the G-8,
will live as the flag of the united anti-imperialist struggle of the peoples
of the world. Following the long years of struggle, maybe for the first
time, our European and North American comrades and friends are losing one of
their comrades. We are continuing our anti-imperialist and anti-oligarchic
struggle in blood baths and deaths. Just during the resistance against the
isolation cells, which are being enforced by the IMF, the US and European
imperialism and are being applied by a collaborationist government, (which
has so far taken 10 months), 60 of our comrades have fallen. 60 deaths in 10
months.
9- And here we must underline once again that; those who we stood shoulder
to shoulder with in Genoa are still insensitive and careless towards our
ongoing resistance in Turkey. And this is, as we have pointed out above, is
one of the weak points of this resistance. In an another corner of the
world, 60 people are massacred, 60 people are left handicapped and hundreds
more are on the brink of death on the orders of IMF and G-8. If the
anti-IMF, anti-G-8 forces are still in silence, we cannot yet talk about a
"global resistance", a world-wide anti-imperialist unity. The struggle of
the people of the world against imperialism will be victorious. We have no
doubt about it. Our rights and wrongs and deficiencies will determine the
length of this victory. Therefore we take this anti-imperialist resistance
which is in its initial period seriously and we take it as our duty to
develop and strengthen it. The DHKC will continue to take part in the
resistance of the peoples of the wor!

against imperialism and capitalism. We salute all those forces and
individuals who participated in this resistance from Seattle to Genoa and we
wish to unite in an uninterrupted line of struggle both locally and
internationally.
