Yucelen: Declaration of identity is absolutely forbidden in Turkey

The Turkish Ministry of Internal Affairs commented for the first time on
declaration of identity which was started by Kurdistanis in Europe.
Minister Yucelen threatened, saying "this is absolutely forbidden in our
country."

The "Declaration of Identity" campaign started by Kurds in Europe was
brought to the agenda by an state official for the first time.

he claimed to be a member of PKK. Yucelen touched on the subject of 20 PKK
guerrilla who were killed by chemical weapons, adding "9 terrorist were
captured, 3 dead 6 wounded."

Suggesting that PKK President Abdullah Ocalan's case in European Human
Rights Court is tried to change into an "ethnic case", Yucelen made
explanations on the declaration of identity.

Trying to regard the declaration of identity campaign participated by ten
thousands of people as inferior by saying "some members of the clandestine
organization in Germany, Italy, France, England, Netherlands, Switzerland
etc apply to the legal bodies and declare their identity", Yucelen
continued to say the following: "They apply in appearence of struggle for
national freedom. We follow them."

The Minister made a threat by saying that if such an application was made,
they would be considered a member of PKK, continuing as follows: "I want to
remind you especially in these days some associations apply for permission
for legal activities, that such an action is absolutely banned in our
country. If a person applies and declare he is a member of a terrorist
organization, he will immediately be arrested and prosecuted."

Yucelen said that permissions for the activities on September 1, The World
Peace Day are under the authority of governors.

The word in fashion: Isolated

Minister Rustu Kazim Yucelen regarded the incident relating a gendermarie
killing a young man in Akkise, Konya as an "isolated case". Replying the
questions of journalist, Yucelen claimed that the Akkise incident can not
be approved and those responsible should be penalized, adding "It is an
isolated case. It might be arised from an inability in command."
