Communist Party of Turkey sends her regards to all workers,
intellectuals, patriots...
The Party for Socialist Power which had been the conscience and voice of
our working class, poor people and honorable intellectuals for years,
changed its name to Communist Party of Turkey in its Extraordinary
Congress held in last weekend. In a country where thieves do not accept
that they are thieves, murderers do not accept that they are murderers,
fascists do not accept that they are fascists, fundamentalists do not
accept that they are fundamentalists, exploiters do not accept that they
are exploiters, liars do not accept that they are liars; it is highly
important communists to claim their communist identity.
Because communists have nothing to hide, nothing to be ashamed of.
Communists have not made this country a heaven of plunder, loot and
exploitation. Communists have not made this country a toy of US, EU,
IMF and NATO. Communists have not pushed this country into the swamp of
decay, immorality, impropriety and illiteracy. Communists have not
obliged this country to a darkness in which fascists, murderers and
gangs swarm. Communists have not pushed this country into a marsh of
debt, have not risked the future of our children. Communists have not
been criers of war and have not set the people at loggerheads.
Communists can not do these and they do not. They are communists to
struggle against all these. Look at the situation of those in Turkey and
in the world that want to display the communists as an "ogre" by using
bans, lies and tricks. The situation which our beloved country was
pushed into hurts our hearts. A country whose people are obliged to
helplessness, hopelessness... We do not see anything different when we
look at the world. Those screaming like "Communism died, there will be
no more wars", have turned all every single corner of the world into a
lake of blood. Reactionary gangs who had been fed by the US and other
imperialist countries to struggle against the communism in Afghanistan ,
have become trouble for themselves. However they are so shameless that
they become war criers by taking the advantage of this trouble.
But time is over. You cannot hide the reality by swindling. We claim
that, the resources in the world and in Turkey are enough to make
everybody live humanely, in equality and prosperity. If and only if we
say "stop" to this disgusting system in which some eat and some watch.
Communist Party of Turkey calls our people to claim their own future. We
are not hopeless, nor helpless. Just the opposite, if we start with
struggling and rescue our future from the exploiters and liars, we are
very hopeful. Therefore, Salute to the bright future of Turkey and the
world!
