Krishna Khatiwada President Nepalese People's Progressive Forum,Belgium PRESS STATEMENT In the world today Nepal is the first poorest country where the Nepalese society has been suppressed by the feudal for centuries. There are more than 70 castes, dialects and cultures in the country, but the feudal and , Brahmincal Hindu regime has tried its level best to suppress and maintain them in the form of single community, language, religion and culture at the cost of suppressing multi-ethnic communities, castes, dialects, religion, cultures, regional and gender partialness. The Indian expansionists have always captured the natural resources of Nepal , looted the people and impoverished them through monopoly of landlocked business. The Indian expansionist and comprador bureaucrats economically exploited the Nepalese people with the help of so-called democratic system, they violated norms and values of human rights and deposited huge amounts of money in the foreign banks. Today, the entire nation has been undergoing serious turmoil and transition in order to shape and develop multi-lingual, cultural, religious and communal society into a balanced nation. It is well known that the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) has waged revolt against all kinds of suppressions in the country since 13 February 1996 and has come to a ceasefire for negotiation in the issues of nationalism, people's democracy and livelihood. But under the premiership of Mr. Ser Bahadur Deuba failed to keep up its promise and made coalition with new king and the notorious fascist ex- prime minister Mr. Girija Prasad Koirala instead of to develop the atmosphere for peace-talk. Thus, the Deuba government succeeded in passing out Armed Police Bill, restricted public gathering and mobilized Royal army in the entire nation. Mr. Girija Prasad Koirala, the president of the Nepalese Congress Party which also a ruling party, tried to discourage the people's rebel that the constitution of Nepal as rigid as fundamentalist Islamic Kuran of Mullah and fundamentalist Hindu's Manu Smriti and that the CPN (Maoist) must surrender to the present government. In the name of the so-called table talk, the reactionary vigilantes and police in civil dress negatively publicized the Maoist activities and brutally killed the Party workers, vandalized and spread communal violence. The validity of the negotiation was useless when the fascists regime killed and suppressed several party workers and asked the Maoist to surrender taking advantage of Sept.11, 2001 incident in America and further accused the Maoist as terrorist analogous to Taliban with the help of American regime. Thus, the fascist regime has forced the country into civil war instead of going for adopting the Constituent Assembly. The Nepalese village have been wiped out through "Cordon and Search and Sweep out "operation . The innocent peasants who were working in the fields have also been mercilessly massacred .The fundamental right of survival has been violated, randomly arrested, murdered and terrorised .The journalists have been arrested, the press sealed and the fascist government is circulating the news against the Maoist movement in 'Goebbals' style. The reality behind the royal massacre has emerged when the people wanted the sovereignty to be vested with the people, because the regime suppressed them in co-ordination with America and Indian reactionaries .It is well known that Nepal is strategically important for India and America to wage war against China. That's why the civil war has been forcefully imposed on the Nepalese people. We, therefore, strongly demand to resolve the problem through the election of Constituent Assembly immediately stopping the emergency state again making peace talk atmosphere with Maoist for the safest future of the Nepalese people and we condemn the civil war imposed in the country by the fascist government. So we request to the justice and liberation loving people of the world to make presser to the Nepalese fascist government to stop the emergency state being ready for the Constituent Assembly election and to store the democratic rights and human rights again making peace dialogue with the Maoist.
