PLO Foreign Minister Arrives
Tripoli/Ayu Annar 3/Jana Farouq Qadoumi,the head of the political section of the PLO and the Foreign Minister of the Palestinian state and his accompanying delegation arrived at Tripoli International Airport this evening. He was met by the acting under-secretary for the general peoples committee for African unity and the director of the administration for Arab affairs and the Palestinian charge d'affairs in GT Jamahiriya. Farouq al Qadoumi made a statement to Jana in which he expressed his happiness to be in GT Jamahiriya and his appreciation to the Leader of the Revolution,who backs the Palestinian Cause. He also greeted the people of GT Jamahiriya who spared no effort to help the Palestinians to liberate their country. /Jamahiriya News Agency / Jana/8 African Unity Secretary Meets Tripoli/Ayu Annar 3/Jana The secretary of the general peoples committee for African unity met this morning with Farouq al Qadoumi, the head of the political section of the PLO and the foreign minister of the Palestinian state and his accompanying delegation who are currently visiting GT Jamahiriya. During the meeting they discussed the situation in the Arab region and the war of genocide waged against the Palestinians by the terrorist organisation of the Zionist army and the importance of unified patriotic work to confront this and giving all the support possible to the Palestinian people and their struggle against oppression, terrorism and Zionist agression. The secretary renewed at this meeting the pledge of the continued support of GT Jamahiriya for the Palestinian people in their just struggle for the declaring of their independent state. He emphasised that the GT Jamahiriya will make all the necessary contacts to take unified Arab stance in support of the Palestinian people. Farouq al Qadoumi expressed the gratitude and appreciation of the Palestinian people for the interest that the Leader of the Revolution takes in the just Palestinian Cause and for the continued support of the Libyan people towards their brothers, the Palestinian people.
