This is a great news. Thanks for your mail :-)

I'd be happy to be a 'mentor' and help a student.

And I would even be also interested to participle as student :-P

We still have to decide if it will be possible, but it can't hurt. The complete rules should be online pretty soon, on Monday probably.

If I am eligible, and since I'm involved in the Jabber protocol, I would do
general improvements in the Jabber protocol.  That would include MUC, pubsub,
voice, video. More generally, be compliant with XMPP, and the support of
JEP-0119 and JEP-0117

The first step is for FOSS projects is to submit several subject ideas they'd like students to work on, with an associated mentor name. Then, the selection process will determine who will work on which subject as a student. So the priority is really for us to determine a finite set of subject ideas that Kopete finds relevant.

In your opinion, what would be the best way to write down subject ideas? A web page on Kopete's website, or on our Trac Wiki?

Thank you very much for your subject ideas!

Best regards,
