Dominik: I think you're talking about a different problem - I didn't suggest
changing Kopete's behaviour regarding unknown contacts that message you but
imitating exactly this behaviour when an unknown contact sends an auth request.

Seeing the online status of such people would be a nice improvement as well, I
agree - but I guess this is not possible without permanently adding the contact
(which results in him getting a notification about being added -> bad). BTW,
such contacts do get separated from the rest for me using Kopete SVN. I get
"Online contacts", "Offline Contacts" and "Not in your contact list".
