Those people tend to send multi-line sentences in separate messages, and grouping makes those separate messages look related to each other. I use Ctrl-Enter to send messages, so I can use Enter key to insert newlines in my messages. As the result, I send multi-line messages, and grouping is not needed for me. It only confuses.
