Actually there is some laptop companies that have 2gb support. They all seem to use the same VIA K8T800 / VIA VT8235CE Chipset. So it's beyond me why they all are not supporting 2gb. My best guess is that there is several iterations of the VIA chipset.
I am also suprised that the industry as a whole has not gone beyond the 2gb max memory for laptops. There is a lot of power users who use their laptops for testing or demoing various products. I often hear people wish that their laptop had more than a 2gb memory capacity. ----- Original Message ----- From: Lawrence <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "'San Diego Windows 2003 User Group'" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: RE: [sdw2003] Athlon 64 DTR (Laptop processor)1gbmemorylimitations............???
