Thanks, Lan. The fact is, though, that I can't even get an interview.
My resume shuts the door for me on all the jobs I've been looking
for.

You might want to rewrite you resume. I targeted my resume to specific
job listings, and started to get called for nearly every job. Rather
than list all of my experience in detail, I gave over views, and only
detail in the areas that they were asking for. I also got called when I
took the time to offer an explanation for why an advert would not
effectively fill their position. They offered me a job in HR
interviewing tech types. Pay would have been good, but I hate to see
geeks crack and cry under the pressure;)
