Yeah, that about sums up any rebuttal to the article.  If WalMart held
first chair on the Death Star, this journalist wouldn't know it.  He
strings together vivid imagery, heart-tugging anecdotes, and, just for
good measure, at least two statements that he turns right around and
admits have nothing to do with the topic at hand.  But the only real
data he manages to pull in is irrelevant, or doesn't prove anything. 
Who cares if WalMart is the bigger than GE?  It doesn't prove
anything; not even that WalMart has the power to push people around,
which is what I think he was getting at with the size thing.

"Data" is not the plural of "anecdote".

FastCompany hasn't impressed me.  I like Business 2.0, and I really
liked Red Herring, back in the day.  I think maybe Red Herring went
out of business because it was too much quality for American
audiences.
