My gripe is not with Stallman's philosophy but rather his
insistence on still using the term "free" even with
all the confusion it entails.

This was a main reason the term open-source was created.

Stallman himself has said the best alternative to "free"
he has even seen is "unfettered".  I would be perfectly
happy with "The Unfettered Software Foundation" and
the "Unfettered Software Movement".
