Just discovered one of my qmail servers is not *working* (I don't know exactly what it is doing yet...)
here is the critical part of /var/log/qmail/current 2005-08-26 06:48:14.401415500 bounce msg 135702 qp 27229 2005-08-26 06:48:14.402426500 end msg 135702 2005-08-26 06:48:14.404390500 new msg 135781 2005-08-26 06:48:14.404760500 info msg 135781: bytes 2966 from <> qp 27229 uid 1009 2005-08-26 06:48:14.735145500 starting delivery 62618: msg 135781 to remote [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2005-08-26 06:48:14.735478500 status: local 0/10 remote 1/40 2005-08-26 06:48:18.462969500 delivery 62618: failure: 220.111.47.194_does_not_like_recipient./Remote_host_said:_550_<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:_User_unknown/Giving_up_on_220.111.47.194./ 2005-08-26 06:48:18.462989500 alert: unable to append to bounce message; HELP! sleeping... 2005-08-26 06:48:28.503887500 alert: unable to append to bounce message; HELP! sleeping... 2005-08-26 06:48:38.635293500 alert: unable to append to bounce message; HELP! sleeping... 2005-08-26 06:48:48.645575500 alert: unable to append to bounce message; HELP! sleeping... and repeats every 10 seconds. a quick google and suggested no disk space, but there is plenty. I tried restarting qmail which had no effect. This install has been in production for about 8 months with no changes recently... netstat/lsof don't indicate any established connections.
