no contract, just the material circumstance. What's the point of
posting if you are not offering for public domain?

I think knowing the list is a public help forum is enough
to wave your rights, if you say this code is GNU, well
that's a typical GNU distribution method, so it would be
a more difficult call than commercial copyright.
