Is there a program in Linux to clean up the print? Inkjet printers come with software that works in windows and one of the functions of that software is a function to clean up the print. The printer she has is an HP inkjet of some sort and the print is kinda furry.

Has she called tech support? There's usually a key press combo to access that stuff, even if there's no software support. Stuff like hitting cancel 4 times while holding down power.

I don't have the printer in front of me, but IIRC, it has only one button: Power.

If normal tech support doesn't work, there's the HP super secret, no one can help me number. I have it, but it dates back to '01 so I'd have to hope its still active.

The printer was given to her. I don't think there's a manual or anything with a number for tech support (unless it's on the printer itself?).
