Completely off topic, but: 2k can't handle sATA? At all?

It couldn't boot from it. It could install onto it. I might have been able to make a boot disc, or popped in an old hard drive, but I didn't want to bother (or burn the extra electricity on the hard drive). In addition, 2K couldn't handle the size at all, it can't deal with discs over 200 GB or so.

Hm, ok, you're no good example for my case, I must admit...
Mozilla is gtk2 - so it should look different altogether from your KDE apps.
Prefs Dialogs and certain behavior is quite different from KDE. Do you
experience this as annoying?

Hoping I tended to use mainly one theme?

And no, I don't find it annoying. I understand how to use it, its pretty basic. The preference dialog for Mozilla Suite makes sense for Mozilla Suite. It wouldn't for some of the other programs I use. Thats all I really want out of a GUI- make choices that make sense for your app.
