No. I only need one.
However, nineteen other people I know prefer and work better with
something totaly different.

You are able to replace the window manager (Explorer) on Windows. I know
this was true for the 95 variant, I have no idea about any current
version.
I had actually replaced Explorer once. I wish I could remember the name.
All I can tell you is that it had a Window Maker look and feel to it.
If you look now, you can still find Explorer.exe replacements. This kind
of shoots your theory of ``one size fits all'' approach to hell.
I don't know who said this first, but meditate upon this:
One size fits all fits no one well.
